About the Software
Lotus Forms Turbo is a new addition to the Lotus Forms family of products.
Included in Lotus Forms and available as stand-alone forms software, Lotus
Forms Turbo has been developed to help non-technical users to quickly
create web-based eForms. Lotus Forms Turbo is easy and quick to deploy,
requires no training and is designed to help customers address basic form
software requirements such as surveys, applications, feedback, orders,
request for submission, and more - without involvement from the IT
department.
And Lotus Forms Turbo includes numerous ready-to-use sample eForms and
demos in the new Sample Catalog to make it easy to gain value and faster
ROI.

This AMI is available on 32-bit 2.6.16 kernel
level-based Linux OS and provides an end-to-end automation to get the AMI
initially set up according to user’s requirements including:
- Root and default user password setup
- Optional (recommended) Elastic Block Storage (EBS) setup for
persistent data storage
When an Lotus Forms Turbo AMI instance is started for the very first time,
a sequence of interactive configuration screens will help the user setup
their environment in a few quick steps:
- Pre-installed OS/software license agreements screen
- Root and virtuser user password configuration screens
- Lotus Forms Turbo localization progress screens
- Amazon Web Services configuration screens
- EBS storage configuration screens
A description of each interactive step and additional information about how
to re-package the Lotus Forms Turbo AMI with an ISV (Independent Software
Vendor) application can be found in the accompanying documentation.
Instances created based on this AMI are configured for root-level access
over secure shell (SSH) using the keypair you specify at instance
creation.
Lotus Forms Turbo is installed under /opt/IBM/LotusForms/Turbo/3.5.
Once started, Lotus Forms Turbo can be accessed over the Web using the URL:
http://<server>:9080/turbo
Where <server> refers to the public DNS name of the new
instance. Use the virtuser user ID to log into Lotus Forms Turbo,
using the password set during the initialization process. Refer to the
Getting Started document under Resources and Documentation for
details.

Prerequisites and Resources
Instance Type:
A “Small” instance type (m1.small) should be sufficient for most
needs. A “High-CPU Medium” instance type (c1.medium) may be
desirable for extra processing power. There are no 64-bit AMI’s of Lotus
Forms Turbo available at this time.
