Read through the licenses.  Saw this in the SXCE license:

"This Agreement will commence on the Effective Date and will expire six(6) months from the Effective Date, unless terminated earlier asprovided below. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon ten (10)days written notice to the other party."

Who wants to develop and deploy software on a platform under a license that ends in 6 months and allows Sun to terminate in 10 days written notice?  This means you could be in the middle of development and Sun can simply post a written announcement saying your license will terminate in 10 days. Then what?

Why risk it? Why bother?

I'm going to use a Linux license that can't be yanked away at any time.

Hi Jack - OpenSolaris and SXCE AMI licenses will be renewed and replaced with standard OpenSolaris soon. In last May when OpenSolaris was made available as Beta and hence evaluation license reflects limited time availability.
