The Ensembl project produces genome databases for human as well as almost 50 other species, and makes this information freely available.

Hi Peter

I create and upload the Ensembl snapshots on AWS. We are looking into providing the FASTA dumps in addition to the MySQL dumps. Hopefully they will be available around the time of the public release of Ensembl version 54, which is scheduled for the end of next week.

I will create 2 snapshots, one for the FASTA dumps and one for the MySQL dumps, since most people will want one or the other.

I actually uploaded them (along with the usual MySQL dumps) several weeks ago, I hope Amazon will make them available soon.

We just published an update to the main Ensembl and added a separate data for FASTA DB files.
