I'm feeling kind of silly right now, but I setup the instance using this and when I follow the connection directions I get the error:
Please login as the ubuntu user rather than root user.
Now I know in ubuntu you don't tend to login as root, but I can't find the name of the user that I'm supposed to use in any documentation. Also if the private key is associated with the root user how am I supposed to connect anyways.

@Michael - the name of the user you want to log in as is literally "ubuntu" as in
ssh -i yourkeyname.pem ubuntu@ec2-123-45-67-89.compute-1.amazonaws.com

There's definitely some confusion in this listing. The title states it's for 32-bit images but some of the listed AMIa are 64-bit.
It looks to me like Canonical copied and pasted the 64-pit listing and only edited some AMIs before saving.
For example, if I want the 32-bit EBS EU West AMI for Lucid Lynx server the AMI is ami-a94d67dd but that is not listed on this page.

@ryccib you say "some of the AMIs are 64-bit". Does that mean you found any here that are actually 32 bit?

Hi canonicalteam ,
I have a problem with this image - I can not install "libparmetis3.1" package. It keeps telling me, that this package is broken. What could be the reason for this and how I could fix it?
Thank you in advance,
Alexey
